I know the flyers say "headache" as a possible side effect, but I don't recall any Clusterheads reporting that. Water retention, constipation, some shortness of breath - yes. (None of those for me)
Please get some more input from the folks here and from his Neuro, BUT....... Verapamil takes time to kick in AND it needs to be at a high enough dose - If it's going to work for him.
Indocin is "the" drug of choice for CPH, but I swear by it to help abort the occasional break through of my CH's. I love Verap + Indo!
Unless your husband is suffering really nasty side effects from the Verap, give it more time and increase the dosage - it isn't going to hurt, but it might really help.
