I've only recently tried the max and it seemed to be about 70% effective. Imitrex spray about the same, oxygen not at all. My question is how the hell does one afford any of the meds that are fairly well preforming? My insruance only covers 6 maxalts or 6 imitrex sprays (not both) per month. I'll go through that many in 2 or 3 days. As if the pain and the relentlessness of the damn headaches aren't enough I now have the added fear of knowing that when the medication is gone, I haven't the means to get more (I already spent $300 for 18 Maxalts which lasted only a week - I can't keep doing that!). Any sugestions?
