I;ve been on Verapamil for 3 weeks now. I've had only
4 or 5 small headaches which I have used O2 for with
success. Even the shadows are much lighter. The h/a
feels like the ones I get in the week-long "ramp up"
period before they get going full bore. I can
definitely live with this. I have this stockpile of
imitrex which I haven't had to use yet.
Questions for anyone else who is using/used this drug:
1. Is this normally what happens when you take it?
2. Is the clock still ticking on my cycle (i.e. will
it end on time), or am I in a state of suspended
animation?
3. Any long term side effects? So far I haven't had
any short term ones.
4. Does this drug behave like the others that I tried
(except imitrex) in that it loses effectiveness in
subsequent cycles?
5. How long should I stay on it after I don't feel
the h/a's anymore?
My doc has given me alot of info, but this is real
life test range.
