Earlier this year I had extremely severe headaches that were so painful, I could only compare them to bein in labor. I was never "diagnosed" with anything. I was treated for sinuitis, blocked nasal passages, etc. It was suggested that I had hormonal migraines. These headaches began in November of '98 and lasted until February of '99, finally going away on their own. They worsened as the months went by. They occurred once a day at the same time every day. The worst pain seemed to be in my jaw. My eyes were sensitive to light and loud noises were very painful. I have not had one since February, but I am afraid that they will come back. Do these symptoms sound familiar? Why would my doctor have not thought of this? In the end, (he only saw me twice) he shrugged his shoulders, and more or less told me there was nothing else he could do. He prescribed me a narcotic that was addictive, and I only took it a couple of times, because I was scared of it. I also have a 1 year old, and could not take care of him while taking this medication. Please tell me if this sounds familiar. My family can not understand why I get so worked up over a "little headache", but all of you sound as if you understand perfectly. Thanks
Renee
