My wife has also learned, in the 30 years I've been fighting these damn things, that when she sees the "signs", she turns down the volume, turns down the lights and leaves the room. Every one is different with these things. I find it really annoying to have someone hanging over me (my perception) asking what they can do to help. I'd rather not have to talk with anyone during a headache. Anyone but the Lord that is. I grab hold of His robe and do a lot of pleading. My wife understands and is always there for me when the pain passes to give some comfort and sympathy. But during, stay out of my way. I've got some serious stuff to deal with.
