Ken,

Could you provide a bit more info about the neon light
that moves through your visual field prior to a CH?

This may seem silly and nit-picky and, indeed, may
not lead to any revelationary conclusion. But as I attempt to
"mine" the wealth of unexamined information reresented on
this Board, I keep both eyes open for any sign or symptom
that may relate to a specific disease entity which might
help us better understand this monster.

I would be most interested in:

Is the light in ONE or BOTH eyes? If ONE, may I presume that
eye is on the affected side?

Is this a moving "bright light," or could it represent
a moving "blind spot?" (Try to read something small THROUGH
the light.)

Does the light move from the nose to the temple, or vice-versa?

Does the light move slowly, and only ONCE across the
visual field? Or does it repeat? If slowly, approximately
what is the transit time (in seconds.)

How much (rough percentage) of the visual field is
involved? And is the involved area above, below, or
through the middle of the visual field?

Are there ANY concomitant symptoms; ringing, buzzing in ears,
vertigo, numbness?

Do you experience this photopic event at times OTHER THAN
prior to a CH?

Does briskly rubbing your eyes seem to clear the event?

Ken, don't try to comment "off the cuff." But the next time
you experience this phenomenon, please try to provide some
details along the lines of the above.

Thanks,

Sorcerer
