This may be so, but cannot contribute to the clusters I have experienced. We sure didn't have a computer when I was a kid and I sure bet they didn't have one when Bob Kipple was a kid either. I believe Kip told me he had been a sufferer since age 8 or 9, now 60.
I agree we are all on the computer now, but I doubt that what you described as being the culprit to Cluster Headaches. Don't mean any disrespect here, but I was a Computer Systems Administrator for the Federal Government for a number of years and I have been known to put in 188 hours in a two-week period. Most of my hours, during that particular two-week period was glued to a computer screen. I had a deadline to meet and no one else could do it, I had no choice. I sure was glad the Beast didn't decide to come for a visit during that time, or it wouldn't have gotten done, period..... I was very lucky. To add to that statement, I did not go into a series as a result of all the eye strain. I did try to take breaks and use moisture drops in my eyes. I notice that my eyes tend to dry out when I am on the computer, because we just plain do not blink enough while on the computer. I keep a small bottle of moisture tears beside my computer right now for that use.
I know one thing for sure. I sure can't or wouldn't even think of trying to post when I have an 8 -10 on the Kip Scale. When I am getting blasted, I cannot stand any light, bright or not. I even have electrical tape covering the green light on my VCR. I can't tolerate the night light in my bathroom. I hug the toilet and throw up in the dark. I know where it is, I've done it so often, I never miss (guess it's like you guys taking a leak in the dark).
Like I say, just my 2-cents worth here, take it or leave it, I would just be very surprised that a computer caused my Cluster Headaches years before I ever worked on a computer. I am sure this theory may be true for other forms of headaches, but, hey, I would love to just have those kind of headaches..........Wouldn't you guys.
