I have to agree with Bob G.'s response on this one. I too, have not heard of the "spitting up blood" symptom associated with clusters, but I was immediatly struck by the "sleeping" you described. As Bob G. stated, most do fear sleeping, and while a cluster attack is ongoing, sleep is absolutely impossible. I believe most here would agree that during an attack, to sit still is impossible, let alone to sleep. I hope that you are able to find a good ENT doctor, and wish you and your boyfriend all the best.
