Prednisone gives me a stomach ache and did not seem to do much in preventing. I think I tried it three years ago with some success and then two years ago with almost no luck. I guess if it is going to work it works pretty fast and you will know right away.
I think I could live with one headache every day or so, which is what my pattern used to be. But two or three a night makes me a walking zombie. I still do not know how chronic sufferers do it. I look at my calendar and can pretty much figure when my cycle will be over and that really helps me get through it.
