Yeah... I like all of Marty Balin's songs.

I too have personally seen and experienced what I believe to be miraculous healing. Not from my CH.

You asked about our beliefs and their relationship to healing. Here are mine.

I believe these things about prayers for the sick.
-They unite the sick person to the passion of Christ for their good and the good of the whole church.
-They bring strength, peace and courage to endure, in a Christian manner. the pain.
-Sins are forgiven.
-Health is restored if it is condusive to the salvation of one’s soul.
-They prepare one for eternal life.

Those are my Roman Catholic beliefs.

On a slightly more personal note ... when I’m seeing clearly, I know all prayers are answered, and not according to my plan. So I continue to pray for everyone that posts on this board as well as for me and my family etc....etc..
When I’m not seeing clearly, usually at the Demon’s Dance peak or when my son using his computer device attached to his wheelchair tells me “I want to walk” ,I get pissed off at God and let Him know about it. He loves me and puts up with my ranting.

I do NOT believe pain and suffering are a test. I do NOT believe it is punishment for sins.
