If you type welder's oxygen in the search button above, you should be able to find the myriad of stuff written here about the option of using welder's oxygen safely.
My husband uses it because we have difficulty getting a prescription here for medicinal O2 unless it is for a respiratory illness. Desperation led us to try the welder's O2 and, after I called the Poison Control Centre for their opinion as to its safety, he has been able to get success using it. The precaution the Poison Control stressed is the inability to regulate the flow at the risk of tearing lung tissue. So far, so good...
Food for thought anyway.
