Two topics in one.. My neck is a mess too. It's always seemed possible that the neck is where pressure could be placed on a nerve to begin the chain reaction of pain.
Alcohol is a trigger for most of us. I have triggered a cycle by drinking. My cycles have always remained until i abstained. Unfortunately abstainance is only part of the solution but it seems to be a necessary cog.
