I had a root canal because the CH pain was always so intense on that side. I felt sure getting rid of nerves there would be beneficial. But the root canal did not make the CH better or worse except for the temporary sensitivity and pain caused by the procedure. I even had a second one done years later - still no effect on CH. It might be different with others. But from what I read now it sounds like the CH makes the tooth hurt rather than vice versa.
