The software (IANA) is free to anyone suffering from cluster or migraine pain. The URL is todare.com. Just click on IANA. There are also instructions for the novice pc user.

It provides:
Graphic representation of the different levels of pain experienced during the cluster episode via your direct rating.

Training affirmations for cognitive control of the episode and the pain.

A report that can be used to determine if the level of pain, the length of the cycle and the misery index is being affected by the positive affirmations or anything else that is being used to "treat the problem". Each episode is stored in a data base (IANAProfile.MDB) and listed when the program is opened.

A personal profile capable of storing 63 data points. At some future time this will be used to search for life events predictive of the cluster syndrome.

A measurement of treatment effectiveness.
A system that can track treatment methods between people. It also has functions for importing and exporting between users of the IANA. Treatment methods are detailed in a note file by the user, then can be easily transported out of the system to a subdirectory in the form of a data base. It can then be e-mailed to another user who can import the method using the same system.
Printed reports of episodes, with date, time and means across pain rating, duration and misery index.

A Standard Score of the Cluster Episode. It is based on your own first 20 episodes, having a standard mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15. Scores above 100 mean improvement in management of the cluster episode and scores below 100 means you are doing worse.
Read the help file. It will save you a lot of time.

Quick Start:
Click on the top line menu Cluster Index, wait a few seconds, see what the screen does, then click on one of the numbers at the bottom of the screen ( 1 to 9) 1 means pain low , 9 means high) when you get to a high level just leave the keys alone, the program will just continue to record your last entry once every thirty seconds. When the pain lessens, note it again by pressing a number. When the episode is over press End and that is all there is to it.
