Our children have had to sacrifice their lives in part to clusters.
Sometimes they understand more than adults.
Sometimes they are selfish and want to play when we are stricken.
I have compensated my son for lost time when possible.
He is grown now and I have a 4yr old who gets me my water and ice packs for me.
He is learning how to put aside his own wants for my needs.
If he hurts I get water and ice for him.
He is understanding the process of giving and receiving.
