A cluster is the most horrible pain I have ever had. That includes child birth. If I had been in a fire and I was badly burned, and I had a cluster. I would want the doctors to treat my cluster first! That is how bad it is.
The first sign I get is the left side of my nose stops up. Then I feel a pressure in my left temple and then it hits the demon of all demons. It feels like there is a knife behind my left eye.
It is stabbing. At times it feels like its going to come through my eye ball. The pain travels now my face on the left side into my cheekbones and into my gums. I want to tear my skin off my face it hurts so bad. I sit on the floor and rock back and forth. I cry and I have been know to cover my mouth and scream! I screamed so loud one time I didn't even relize it was me. There is a point that I sweat so bad I get so hot I start taking close off. I shake from the pain! I pray that God will end it or at least let me pass out! But neither ever happens. I as Drummer will never think of this as a headache. I always say my face hurts really bad. Maybe you are right Drummer maybe hope is lost at telling people what we have.
I will be damn tho if I will give up trying.
Non of us are misfits and I will be damn if I will ever let anyone make me feel that way ever again.
