I once lost a packet of photographs & negatives behind the keg cooler were I work. Realizing I could not get them out an unbearable soup of emotion welped in my stomach creaping painfully through every inch of my physical being. Tears, I tried to hold back, slowly spilled out onto my cheeks. I had taken these images over the course 8 yrs. These images represtented door ways into other realms allowing me to free myself from my own pain during times when I felt worn as the old soleless shoe tossed out on a curb side just waiting for the elements of nature consume its shabby remains back into the earth. To take these imprinted images we call photographs away is like taking sailpappy's sailboat.
Somedays I wake up & decide to go on an urban hike. Somedays I wake up & decide to drive down a road. Somedays my destination does not go beyond my front porch. But now and again I feel and I know what I must do next.... :click: At that moment I feel everything will be ok.
