I doubt, also, that my husband could eat during an attack but I keep three gel-filled ice packs in my freezer at all times. This is the first thing he reaches for when a CH is coming and he applies it to the back of his neck. If nothing else, it cools him down and (we think) lowers his blood pressure. I've also seen him apply it directly to the affected side.
This, water and 02 are bringing him relief and we're hoping that this cycle has almost run it's course.
Here's hoping your husband (and you, too) will soon find relief.
