I live in Chicago, and always get the beasts during the change of seasons (either from Fall to Winter or from Winter to Spring). Since we sufferers apparently have an abnormally large hypothalamus, which controls our circadian rhythms, do any of you have any insight on how the environment might affect us? That is, would a more moderate climate ease the suffering? I have a theory that the episodic headaches may be symptomatic of SAD. I am sure you are familiar with the dramatic weather changes in the Midwest. I was wondering if it was easier for individuals in the sun-belt states. I have considered relocating if there is concrete evidence that it would help. I would like to hear from victims in the sunnier parts of the world. Arizona does not celebrate daylight savings time (who thought of that anyway!?).
