In another message you mention the dentist... That reminded me of something. The doctor that first diagnosed me with CH prescribed Xylocaine to me. I would drip about 0.5ml up a nostril. It worked wonders at the onset and end of a episode when the CHs were not that bad.

Positives: Xylocaine is inexpensive, nonadictive, and I had no side effects.

Negatives: Did not work on the bad CHs.

Unforetunately the doctor passed away or moved (i can't find him anymore!), and I cannot get anyone else to prescribe this for me.
