I read the earlier posts from tody re prednisone and had a question. I started on prednisone a few weeks ago at 60mg/day for two days, 40 for 2 days, ....that's as far as I got because the CH came back hot and heavy. My doctor put me back to 60 for 3 days, 50 for 4 days, 40 for 4 days (today was day 1 at 40), then 30, 20 , and finally 10 for 4 days each.
This second protocol is obviously set to taper more slowly. Problem is yesterday and today I had one doozy yesterday and one today (so far), and I'm get nervous that it is still too fast a taper.
Must figuring out how to use prednisone for CH be trial and error, or is there a generally accepted course that works for many/most users? I appreciate hearing about your experiences.
