I have been a cluster headache sufferer for over 20 years now. My cycle started again the last wwek of October, exactly 2 years to the week as my last cycle. I have been on every known so-called remedy for these, Calan (verapamil,calcium channel...), Prednisone (steroids), ergots (all), oxigen , Lidocaine, lithium, etc etc.
I was a cronic sufferer for the first 6-7 years (no remission) and had even considered surgery to sever the facial/optic nerves.
By the grace of God, I was able to try IMITRIX injections when Glaxo was experementing and obtained immediate relief , I mean within 3-5 minutes, it was GONE ! Not the pills, not the nasal spray, only the the injection works for me.
If you have not tried it, you must ! I know I am alive today only because I can stop these headaches. The only problem I find is that I cannot get enough, the HMO limits me to 2 seringes every 2-3 days. I end up stock-pilling ahead of what my reguler cycles are.
And, I don't really give a crap if they say limit 2 injections a day. I have taken as many as 5 without any problems.
