I've been using Maxalt for about a year now and have had fairly good results. It takes about 10 minutes to work but does take the the pain level down to a point to where I can muster the strength to get off of the bathroom floor. The only problem is that you can only take more than 30mg in a 24 hour period or 6 per week.
I use the orally disintegrating tablets since I get extreme nausea with my clusters. The only side effect I have experienced is sleepiness which is usually a good thing since sleep is a very welcomed thing during CHs.
Although Maxalt is used for treatment of migraines, it is also prescribed for CHs.
