I don't know what this Dr was thinking but, I told my husband to call the Doctor back today and ask to speak to him directly. Well, of course the receptionist started asking questions. Donald told her that the Doctor was going to have to do something different. And the nurse spouted out at him that the Doctor couldn't do anything else for him that after looking at his chart all has been done that could be done. I know my husband has his faults and had a dissagreement with one dr about the methadone dosage. But, surely something else that hasn't been tried or some combination of things will help him. He takes all of this so very personal because of the pain that he is in. I told Donald I would get him set up with another Neuro and Dr WOODWARD (the lousy) dr can go to hell. I called another headache clinic and have him set up for the 24th. I talked with the girl at length about Donald. I told her about his lack of patience & confidence with Doctors right at the moment. He feels like he will have to hurt the rest of his life and is very downhearted. I would like any advise that you guys can give us before seeing this new guy. I told the nurse I would try to list all the medications that I could remember. She's sending a sheet and I can just circle the medication that he was on. Anything else that I am not thinking of. Please all suggestions will be helpful.
