My first experience with clusters was in 1986 at the age of 41. They lasted about 6 weeks, coming at regular intervals of twice a day, 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Then as quickly as they came, they were gone - for 8 years! In 1994, I had a second session: this one lasted for 4 months and were several times a day, sometimes leading to a rollover migraine. Once again, they disappeared until just this past July - 4 years in between sessions. This bout again lasted about 6 weeks - but much more intense pain than the previous two times. I didn't find this sight until I was almost through - now I check in just about every day to keep up with new medications and to see how everyone is doing. It really helps to know that other people can understand what you are going through, although no one would wish this kind of thing on their worst enemy. There are a lot of good suggestions on this board, so if you are a newcomer, take the time to read some of the messages. Take care!
