Many of your theories make a lot of sense. With regard to the hypothalmus; doesn't the hypothalmus have a connection with the glands which produce hormones? I believe that hormones do play a role in clusters as well. The bottom line is, that the malady of cluster h/a's is a complex one, but not a "popular" one. Until someone of celebrity suffers, the answers will remain hidden in federal grants and research that cluster h/a's do not receive.
