My doctor just prescribed Amerge for me 2 days ago and (like you) have had great relief. My doctor told me it would be fine to take 2 2.5mg tablets a day for a total of 5mg. As I am sure you now know, Amerge is by far the best chance we have. But all the documentation warns not to take more than 5mg per day.
