I was able to get by with heat pack and xtra strength tylenol in the beginning.
I don't bang my head on anything either, although sometimes I pound on my head with the heel of my palm. Mostly, I'm like you...I don't want anything to touch my head.
I still use Midrin for some of the mild attacks.
Imitrex w/abort a severe attack for me.
My attacks became more frequent and severe as the cycles progressed.
I would continue to stay at ch.com..and I would question my doctor if I weren't comfortable with his diagnosis. You might luck out and have CPH, and my understanding is Indomethicin works nearly 100% of the time for those.
