I have to admit having thoughs about a connection between Addictive/Compulsive and CH.

At the convention I noticed that out of 20+ sufferers, only one or two did not smoke. I started thinking that perhaps it's not the smoking itself that should be tied to CH but rather the chemical brain imbalance that causes the person to want to smoke which should be connected to CH.

When Flash first brought up the shroom therapy, I spoke with the MAPS people who in turn led me to Dr. Guerra at the University of Arizona. He was in the process of doing a study of the effects of psilocybin on Obsessive/Compulsive disorder. He also stated he was not surprised that shrooms may help CH (again this is because of the serotonin effect in both conditions).

My "mind" is still open to a possible connection between addictive/obsessive/compulsive behavior and CH (only because of the 5HT connection). Find out why these neural transmitters are all horked up and then you're getting somewhere.

lyg
