I just had a friend start a transcription business at home. She's getting more work than she can do. That may be something to try. That way you could work around the HAs.
I have my own business and have been off so long that I'm not sure anyone even knows I still work there. (Yeah they do - they're saving a lot of my work for me. I do what I can at home, but lately haven't even been able to do much of that). But since the surgery - I'm gonna work at home for a while till I get used to the eyepatch and get some strength back.)
Try finding something to do on your computer at home. That will bring some money in and give you a break when the HAs hit.
