With my son with Crohn's we get prednisone seemingly by the 55 gallon drum size, some considerations for you Don is to talk to your doctor about alternate day therapy and seeing a dietician, my son takes calcium and a bunch of other supplements, proper nutrition is just as important, I am not going to ramble on, but he is constantly monitored every couple of months, seems like they take blood samples from him by the gallons and adjust his supplement schedule accordingly, many times his dosages of prednisone hit the 200 mg plus a day rate, this has been going on for 13 years, but he has grown to 6’2 ½” and his bones appear to be strong, just something for you to consider my friend.
