You're still not paying attention. We use drugs as BOTH abortives and preventives. Thanks toa tiny dosage of lithium, I barely get ANY clusters at all, except for when I drink or screw up my sleep rhythm.
We DO take drugs regularly and NOT get attacks. That's the idea behind preventives.
By the way..about taking the "cocktail" of drugs...most people on this board hate narcotics with a passion. Our most succesful abortive is one drug..not your ridiculous idea of a cockatil...called Imitrex. In injection form, it stops ALL of my headaches withing 3-5 minutes of the shot.
Drugs DO WORK and ARE RELIABLE. Verapamil stopped ALL of my clusters for a YEAR. Are you listening? Then I had to take a break from it because my body got used to it. Now lithium is doing the same.
Listen to Jonny. He's been chronic for a long enough time to make me shudder with fear. But thanks to a verap/lith combo, he's got this beast under control(for over 10 years now).
So please, get over yourself and your self-righteous dogma because it's FALSE and innacurate. Look man, if you want to find something that works for YOU, we'll help you. But please don't spew nonsense, because I fear newbies will read it and be discouraged when there's absolutely no reason to be.
