Jacque, One of the things we know for sure about cluster headaches is that anything that causes blood vessels to dilate often triggers an attack.Low oxygen levels in the blood causes the vessels to dilate,thus triggering an attack. Breathing 100% O2 increases the oxygen level in the blood which in turn causes the vessels to return to normal thereby giving relief to the cluster attack.
Maybe the cause of Daniel's out of breath condition can be corrected and that will give him some relief from the cluster attacks.
