This last cycle (ended in Sept) was the first
that I used Verapamil. It seemed to put off
the heavy part of my cycle. However, this did
eventually come, so I think the Verapamil just
pushed things out in time for me.
About imitrex. I have always used the injections.
Pills don't work, the nasal spray worked once,
but not a second time. I'm too much of a wimp
to try again, so all I use is the shots.
Oxygen works for me, but only during the lighter
part of my cycle, and only when I catch the h/a
soon enough. It seems to work best when I wake up
with one. As luck would have it, my brother works
for a medical supply company and I can get
unlimited O2.
As for interactions. I don't remember any problem
with the verapamil and imitrex. When it became
clear that the verapamil wasn't working, I quit
taking it. Also, O2 doesn't seem to cause me
any problems.
What finally broke the last cycle for me was a
prednisone taper (recommended by someone on this
board!).
