I have suffered from Chronic Cluster Headaches for 13 years now. I finally got some relief from these medications: I take 6, 300mg of Lithium, 6, 300mg Neurontin, 3, 25mg of Nortriptyline, and the only medication that stops the pain in ten minutes is Migranal nasal spray. I swear this drug really works! I was having 5-7 chronic clusters a day for 12 years. I lived in a bedroom for two of the years. I had no strength to walk or eat because the headaches were so bad, I would collapse out of exhaustion. While having these headaches, I would sweat, my nose would run, I would get sick, or pass out from the pain. I would hold my neck where a vein was just to stop the blood from going to my head, my wife would hit my neck and back with her fist as hard as she could just to ease the pain. I feel like I’m held hostage from these headaches. The worst of it all was waiting for the next headache to come on. Like I said, I was having 5 to 7 a day, so basically, I didn’t have to wait long! I was afraid to go out in public places, I didn’t want people to think I was some kind of freak. My headaches gave me a ten second warning, and I was on the floor where my wife would put cold towels on my neck and head. Around this point, I know longer wanted to live. But this all changed when I went and saw a specialist in San Francisco. He started to put me on drugs,(by the way, Imitrex didn’t work) and finally after seeing him and a few other doctors, I started using Migranal every time I have a headache, which is 1-2 times a day now, I use Migranal and it takes the pain away in ten minutes. I wanted to write and post this on the Internet hoping this drug will work for you as well as it has for me. I have been put on and tried every medication know to man for these headaches, so please feel free to email me questions about medications or techniques I use to get through the headaches.
