Amerge (Naratriptan) is the triptan with the longest half life (about 6 hours). As it is rather slow to kick in, it is of not much use as an abortive, but taken before bedtime it is ready to prevent the 1st attack one and a half hour after falling asleep.
An Amerge (and sometimes even a half) lets me usually sleep through the night (apart from the pit stops), and if an attack breaks through, it is already damped down and more responsive to oxygen.
