Somebody posted a little way down about lidocaine used in the nostril to stop attacks. They also said it is difficult to get hold of without a prescription.
But there IS a product that is sold freely and that contains (some) lidocaine.
It is a sex aid, a spray to desensitize the glans (the dick head?) in cases where hypersensitivity causes premature ejaculation, and it is called Stag Delay Spray.
There may be other products for the same use, with a different brand name. Look up shops or mail order businesses with "marital aids".
The lidocaine content may be very small, but I think it is worth a try if you had good experiences with it.
