When I was last at the Neurologist Dr Haan I recieved the following info about CH.
Cluster Headache.
Attacks that last 15 to 180 mins without treatment.
The pain is strictly one sided, locolized arround, orbehind, or in one eye at the level of sleep.
At leest one of the following should be preasent.
-a raed eye
-a tearing eye
-a stuffy nose
-a runny nose
-a sweaty forehead
-a smaal pupil
-a sagging eyelid
-a swwelling of eyelid
* Treatment of cluster headache
Attack treatment
Sumatripan injection or nose spray
100% Oxigen 7 liters/ min. with mouth piece.
Preventiv
Verampamiel(dosageupto 960 mg/dayly)
Deceril (3x2mg)
Preventive treatment can usually be redused if a patient has not had anny attacks of headaches for three weeks.
When I recieved this information from Dr Haan I found it somewhat lacking in information. My question to Annemarie is if she is willing to submit a better explanation with contacts and support groups. I have taken the liberty of translating this info myself because it was so simple. I am affraid my Duch nor English are good enough to do any more.
In case there are other Duch people that wisit the message board I wil include the duch version.

Toen ik laatst bij Dr haan was kreeg ik een briefje met een te korte omschijving van CH. Zou je berijd zijn om wat optestellen die hij voortan aan zijn patienten mee kan geven?
Dit is vat ik mee kreeg. Ik zelf vind niet dat het genoeg informatie geeft. Ik zou het als patient ook graag op prijs stellen waar ik meer info kan krijgen en vaar ik support zou kunnen krijgen.
Cluster- hoofdpijn
Aanvallen die, zonder behandeling, 15 tot 180 minuten duren.
De pijn is strikt eenzijdig gelocaliseerd, rondom, achter, of in oog, of ter hoogte van de slaap.
Er dient tenminste een van de volgende bijvershijnselen te zijn
-een rood oog
-een tranend oog
-een verstopte neus
-een loop neus
-een zwetend voorhoofd
-een nauwe pupil
-een hangend ooglid
-ooglid zwelling.
Behandeling van cluster hoofdpijn
Aanvalbehandeling, Sumatripan injectiof neusspray. Zuurstofinhalatie (100%, 7 litre/minuud, mondkapje)
Preventief, Verampamiel(dosering tot 960 mg?per dag) Deseril3x2) Preventieve behandeling kan meestal afgebouwd worden als de patient 3 weken geen aanvallen van hoofdpijn heeft gehad.
