OK,
Ken has been averageing 1 CH every 4 nights now.
I suppose the verapamil is working.
I think it was Saturaday night, he got the sensations, (nose stuffy, teeth and gums hurting, roof of his mouth getting "raw") and he started just touching his head.
(for the record, Ken's bald on top)
He noticed a "groove". He wanted me to feel it.
I put my hand there on the side of his head, and there was definately an indentation.
Now, the wierd part, I COULD FEEL THE BLOOD PULSEING!
It was as strong as if some one had a high pressure pump just pumping away, hard and strong.
And it was only a mild/medium CH.
20 minutes later....
In the same spot as the groove "was", there was no groove! Instead, just the normal vein that goes up the side of his head. Right above his ear. (maybe just a fraction in front of his ear)
So I start keeping a watch on this vein.
It is prominent since he is bald. Slightly blue looking and buldgeing.
This evening, he had another "mild" one.
The vein disappeared. The groove was there. I could see it. Its like the vein was sucked in somehow and left a dent. I could feel the blood pulsateing through his head again.
Then, when his pain let up, (about 20 minutes, again)
there was the vein. No groove. Just the blue vein.
He hasn't been haveing to use the Imitrex spray or injections now for about a weeks and a half...
(I'm knocking on wood like crazy right now)
Only a few "mild don't forget about me" CH's.
I just wanted to share this with you all, and to see if anyone else has noticed this phenomonon.
I hope and pray for PFD&N for you all.
