Hi Becca,
Sorry to hear that you're in CH hell like the rest of us, but pull up a chair.

My hubby is a clusterhead and we've often thought that allergies may be the root of his problem. Now, with all the research that has been done in the last few years, I'm kind of changing my mind. Clusterheads have extra grey matter in they hypothalmus (or hippopotomus or snuffleupagus or whatever) and their seratonin levels are out of whack. I personally believe THAT is the cause of CH. I think that, because of this imbalance, all sorts of other problems are caused too, i.e. allergies, candida overgrowth, depression, insomnia, etc. etc. Having said that, however, I think that the resulting problems make the cluster attacks worse. In other words, if you are a clusterhead, chances are you have allergy problems too, and when you find an allergen, it may spawn an attack for you. It's kind of a chicken and egg theory and quite a vicious circle.
I think what we need to work on is rebalancing the seratonin in your systems and, so far, the psilocybin mushrooms have been the most successful trial we've experienced in this group.
Read everything you can, Becca, and keep us posted as to your progress.
Peace be with you.
Margi
