like clusters. My standard is: Do they wake you, and do they force you out of bed? From what I've experienced and read here, no one can lie down with a cluster. The one-sided and on and off attacks (as well as most of your symptoms) do sound like clusters. My only suggestion is, is it possible that these headaches and your being near odors is a coincidence? I've never had problems with odors. So far as I know, I have no allergies.
