In my worst attacks of cluster I have smoken 1 or 2 cigarretes and I have felt better. I read (don't remember where, that the nicotine constricts the arteries and it's good for the pain that it's caused by the "unconstrict" of the artery
( Sorry I don't know the opposite of constrict, I am not english speaker)
