Yes, I did try accupuncture, however did not have
any success in it alleviating the frequency, duration
and/or pain of the CH. I underwent this therapy
for approximately 2 months @ 3-4 times per week.
So I can honestly say that I did give it a try.

However..... I am now seriously considering going
back to get re-treated with accupuncture, but this
time to treat the cause, and not the effect. Let
me explain.

The approach that was taken during my first treatment
was to focus on the area that hurts: the trigeminal
nerve area - or in my case basically the left side
of my face. As this is where the pain happens, this
is what I call the 'effect'. I may undergo more
treatments, however this time attack the 'cause'.
In this case, I would like to see if it is possible
for my accupuncturist to hit the areas with those
little needles that regulate the activity of the
hypothalamus, circadian rhythms, hormone production/
regularity, etc.
I will be doing moreinvestigating into my accupuncture
'cause and effect' theory, and post the results/status
(albeit positive or negative) to the ch.com board.
I don't however have a timeframe I am working under,
so don't expect anything too soon. If any one else
is interested in this approach, or has already
tried it, I too would be interested in hearing from
you.

Regards,
Alan
