You lost me here! Now I'm not saying that a fear of needles makes one a wuss ... BUT!
How big is that needle (spike) that is driven into your temple repeatedly? And you don't even get the choice! Can't see how you could even feel the needle during a heavy attack?
I'm not giving you a hard time, I'd bet you've just got one serious phobia about needles. I'd suggest you switch to the nasal spray, works just as well, just takes about 5 minutes or so longer. Better than pacing around torturing yourself with CH pain and anxiety.
If your stuck (no pun intended) with the injections you might try this:
Get the injector loaded and put it in place for your shot. Do not leave that position at all ... no pacing. See how long you can stay there until you have to push that button in order to move about. I suspect after a few times, you'll find it easier on yourself to get it over with instead of standing there in agony. I'll guarantee each time you don't shoot and start pacing, it will be harder and harder to beat the anxiety and go back and do it. Anxiety will only build until the cause of it is passed. If this still doesn't work, e-mail me and I think I can help, know too much about anxiety, more than I wish I had to know!
Best of luck RB,
Dave
