The story I got was Sandoz had a temp license to release the PB version. Then several years later they needed to get it recertified, they declined to do so. That decision was surely based on profit and sales.
The PB in the cafergot was to settle your stomach as I understand it. When they quit the PB I took Cafergot and Phenobarbitol as a conbination and it worked pretty well.
