Because WE haven't gotten the doctors educated YET! But we're working on them. Join OUCH (Organization for Understanding Cluster Headaches). That's one of our goals in OUCH - to EDUCATE the Medical Profession. We're making headway - it's just taking time. But we all know the feeling you have of finding this site. We all felt that way when we found it. The "aloneness" is gone. There are people who KNOW how you feel. I mean REALLY know how you feel.
