Well, starting the day before Thanksgiving HE has been trying to get HIS head up and my full attention.
I have had them to last for several days, but 6-7s, things that I could still function with, just miserable.

At 2:30 a.m. last Tuesday morning, He succeeded. I had 3 10s in a 12-hour period. Did my Imetrix Injection and waited, and waited, knowing full well it was going to get much worse before getting better, but it never did. My Imetrix Injection let me down for the first time.

There I was, to sick to even get out of bed at this point. BP out of sight and couldn't do another Imetrix Injection for 12 hours. I didn't have 12 hours to wait. I had to get some relief now. I couldn't go to the back up DHE-45 Injection because I can't mix the two for 24-hours, so there I was in a real pickle.

I would have tried to get on line for some support, but I was too bad.

My sister came over about 9:00 a.m. and my friend. They wanted to take me to my doctor, but I really couldn't make it. I couldn't go anywhere at that point. You guys that suffer so badly know where I was coming from. Many don't realize that you hurt so bad that you can't go 30 -40 miles to the doctor's office. I couldn't keep phenegran down. However, once my sister came and gave me a Mephregan and we literally poured ice water over my face to get me over the retching part long enough for me to keep it down. I got a little relief to get 2 hours of sleep around 2 p.m.

I have had 6-8s ever since. BP out of sight. Pulse has rarely been under 122. Pulse average has been 101 to 108 all the time. Blood Pressure average 151/101 and higher.

My doctor changed my Blood Pressure medicine the Friday before. I called her office on Thursday to see if that could have brought it on. She didn't think so, however, my BP was remaining high and pulse very high. I decided to treat myself as usual. I went back to an 80mg of Inderal to add to the BP medicine. Evidentally my BP medicine doesn't have a beta blocker in it. I haven't taken Inderal in several years now, but I guess I am back to it again.

Today, BP still up and pulse 108. After taking the med and the Inderal, it finally came back down to normal limits. It was wearing me completely out.

This is my delema. I have had this crutch for several years now, the Imetrix Injection. However, this time it let me down. Now I am so scared that it will stop working for me. Has anyone had this experience of it stop working once, but begin working again? I am scared to death of having another 10 again.

I wish I would never have another one as long as I live. I really don't think I can bear them if they get much worse.

By the way, for those that don't remember. I am Episodic, Nocturnal, diagnosed Combination Migrane/Cluster sufferer, female, don't smoke, diagnosed since the early 70s, history of migranes since age 13, Clusters diagnosed at age about 26. I had no oxygen to use this go around. Just head packed in ice. A migrane seems like a walk in the park at this point in my life.

Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it.
