Cluster headaches are a strange beast. Some folks here swear by heat and yet others rely on ice to relieve their pain. I guess everyone is different. But oxygen helps a lot of people. Has your brother seen a knowledgeable neuro about his headaches? That really should be his first step.
And, diet probably isn't a big deal for him (although the jury is still out on that) unless he's imbibing a lot of alcohol - that's a known trigger for a lot of folks.
Melissa's right, though - tell your brother to join you next time you visit the website! It will help him to know he's not alone.
