My name is Bill Roundtree, and for 15 years, I have suffered with these demons. I first thought they were migraines, but I later found out what they were. To me, they are a reincarnation of evil....the pain paralyzed me, as most of you all. I often wondered what I did to deserve the pain. But I am here to say, it seems hopeless, and endless, but there is hope. Do NOT let the horror control your life. After bleeding from the eye and often forgetting to breathe during attacks, I have survived, and I believe, if you suffer from the cluster headache, you are a survivor. No one can be stronger than us. When you tell your spouse or friend you have a "headache" it is the farthest thing from the truth...these are not head "aches". So no one understands you.
But there is hope for us. It seems inevitable, but I consider myself a success story. I have overcome these demons. I am a full-time touring rock musician and part-time music teacher when not on the road, and the pain has not come back to torture me anymore. With the right doctors, medication, and determination, you CAN win...
