LOL, in my opinion I don't think it makes much difference how old we are, if we are male/female, or anything else.

I had my first ch very near my 60th birthday, just about two years ago.

About two years before my father retired, he began having "bad headaches," and finally went to a doctor only after repeated urging from his family.  He underwent a number of tests, all of which proved negative; that is, there was nothing wrong with him.  And then, two years or so after those headaches started, they stopped.

I never heard a detailed description of the headaches or what kinds of tests were done or even if a diagnosis was rendered--but I have to wonder whether he had ch, too, and whether mine will go away Pretty Soon Now.

In the last 2-3 years there have been a few reports indicating that they is a genetic factor operating in some families increasing the risk of developng cluster.

I've only seen passing guesses that we may age out of clusters. Have never seen a serious study of the question.

Developing new cluster-like headaches in late middle-age is considered a danger sign requiring a good medical work-up. Such headaches can signal some serious medical problems.

Well....I sure wish some heredity researcher would offer me a bunch of cash to study my family. Georgia and I, both clusterheads, met here....married...and we are now 3 months pregnant. Fingers crossed he/she only gets my good looks.
